Alexander Jamieson was the son of Mary A Jamieson. 
 
He was born at Bootle, according to 'Soldiers Died in the Great War'
 
He was living at Bootle when he enlisted in the army at Seaforth. His service records have not survived but his medal card records that he was posted to the Western Front on the 19th May 1915.
 
He died of wounds whilst a Prisoner of War at a Field Hospital, Flavy-le-Martel, France on the 26th March 1918.
