Peter Jones was the son of the late Peter Jones and Ann Jones of 24 Anglesea Street, Bootle

BOOTLE RAILWAY MAN.
   Rifleman Peter Jones, K.L.R., second son of Mrs. Ann Jones, of 24, Anglesey-street, Bootle, was killed in action on September 20th. Rifleman Jones was educated at the Seaman's Orphanage, and later entered the service of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway at Bootle Station. He was only 22 years of age, and deep sympathy is felt for the widowed mother. The captain of his platoon writes that he was greatly esteemed by his comrades.
