David Critchley was the son of the late David and Anne Jane Critchley; husband of Florence Maria Critchley (nee Nainman) of 63 Linacre Lane, Bootle. Born at Bootle.
 
He was lost when the R.M.S. Lusitania was sunk by torpedo off Kinsale, Ireland on the 7th May 1915.
 
Probate of his estate was obtained at Liverpool by his widow, Florence Maria Critchley. His effects were valued at 128 13s 11d (13,000 at current values.)
