Leslie Kendall was born at Penrith, Cumbeland c 1893. He was the son of Joseph Bland Kendall and Margaret Ann (nee Robinson) who were married in 1884 at Cockermouth.
1901 Census - 109 Lowther Street, Penrith - M. A. Kendall (wife), H.L. (son), Eleanor, Leslie, Clarence, Charlie and Margaret Kendall.
1911 Census - 17 Rufford Road, Fairfield - Joseph Bland Kendall and wife Margaret Ann (Married 26 years with 8 children born and 7 still alive) with children Leslie, Clarence, Margaret, Charlie and Edwin.
Leslie was an apprentice at a dye works in 1911. He was killed in action on the 20th September 1917.
His parents lived at 81 Lunt Road, Bootle after the war.
