Stanley Hallam was the son of Thomas and Sarah Hallam of 32 Tiverton Street, Wavertree; husband of Catherine Hallam of 98 Bedford Road, Bootle.

A report on his death appeared in the Bootle Times on the 23rd March 1917. His photo appeared in the report and is reproduced here with the kind permission of the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo.

Acting-Sergeant Stanley Hallam, south Lancashires, was killed in action in Mesopotamia on February 25th. He formerly resided at Bedford-road, Bootle, and it is a sad fact that his wife died only last June.
