William Henry Leece was the son of William Henry and Ellen Leece of Liverpool; husband of Kezia Leece of 4 Caros Street, Everton.
A report on his death appeared in the Evening Express on the 21st April 1917. His photo appeared in the report and is reproduced here with the kind permission of the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo.
   The death is officially reported from wounds received in action on April 6th. of Sergt. W.H. Leece, K.L.R., who joined up at the outbreak of war. Previously he was employed as a carter by Messrs. Thomas Wilson, team-owners, Bootle. He leaves a widow and five children, who reside at 4, Caros-street, Everton.
