Michael Murphy was the husband of Elizabeth Murphy of 41 Bond Street, Vauxhall Road, Liverpool.
 
Michael married Elizabeth Singleton on the 6th August 1899 at Our Lady of Reconciliation R.C. Church, Liverpool. His address was 50 Portland Street and his father was John Murphy.   
 
1911 Census: - 41 Bond Street, Vauxhall Road - Michael and Elizabeth with children Edward, Martha Ann, John, James, Mary and Jane and also his brother John, Born 1890. Michael and Elizabeth had been married 11 years with 6 children born and 6 still alive.
 
He was buried in a family grave at Ford R.C. Cemetery on the 25th May 1918. His place of death was given as the Union Infirmary, Lancashire. The grave was owned by Peter Singleton and the other occupants of the grave were:
