George Victor Dennis was born at Kirkdale in 1887.  
 
He was the son of George Dennis and Alice (nee Ledson).
 
George's home address was 115 Clare Road, Bootle when he enlisted in the Army on the 6th December 1915. his next of kin was his father, George of 223 Bedford Road, Bootle.
 
He was a carpenter in 1911 and a labourer in the employee of the Liverpool Corporation Tramways in 1915.
 
He did not serve overseas was discharged at Cambridge on the 1st December 1916 as he was suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
 
George died in the West Derby Registration District in the 4th Q (Oct-Dec) 1917, aged 29.
 
As he had already been discharged from the Army he is not officially 'war dead' and is not commemorated by the CWGC.
