OTHER CASUALTIES OF
THE FIRST WORLD WAR

In this section we will be focusing on those people whose lives were changed irrevocably by the outbreak of the First World War. We intend to highlight the sacrifices - sometimes even the loss of life - of those who dedicated themselves to fund raising, those who worked tirelessly caring for the sick and wounded service men or in the production of munitions, along with the plight of those who spent the war years as POWs or internees in both German and British camps, of conscientious objectors and the victims of the influenza epidemics.
