  • The names have been recorded for the majority of the memorials in the Liverpool, South Sefton and Knowsley boroughs. However, many memorials in the St.Helens and Wirral area have not yet been recorded. For an up to date list of which memorials are still lacking check here. If you could help fill in the gaps please email us.
  • Although we have a list of names from many memorials we have photographs of very few. For an up to date list of which memorials are still lacking a photograph check here. If you could help fill in the gaps please email us.
Newspapers and magazines
  • The recording of newspapers will be a very slow and painstaking process. For an up to date list of which newspapers have been tackled, and which are in the process of being tackled, check here. If you could help extracting information from newspapers please email us.
Gravestones and burial records
  • The War Graves Photographic Project has photographed all of the graves of known WWI casualties, including those in our local cemeteries. A copy of these photos is available from their website for a small fee. The focus of our project is to use the burial records - be these the inscription on the gravestone itself or the names of the grave owner or of any other people buried in the same grave - in help in the identification of the deceased serviceman and in the construction of a biographical memorial page. For an an up to date list of which cemeteries and graveyards have been checked, and which are in the process of being checked, check here. If you could help checking burial records please email us.
